Bana Electric provided the electrical work for the Energy and Nature Educations Center at beautiful Jones Beach in Wantagh. The new, net-zero Center was constructed to produce as much electricity as it consumes and convey its efficiency to visiters with real-time data displays to promote energy conservation and sustainability. BEC installed electrical systems which include a new solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage system and Simplex Fire Alarm systems throughout. Bana Electric is pleased to have been a part of the LIRR Station Enhancement Initiatives project. Bana was the electrical subcontractor to Citnalta/Scalamandrew JV for eight (8) LIRR station renovations at Bellmore, Brentwood, Deer Park, East Hampton, Farmingale, Merrick, Stony Brook and Syosset. Responsibilites included upgrading and support for electrical systems and lighting control devices, as well as interior and exterior LED lighting and Emergency and Exit lighting. Stony Brook University's new 250,000-square-foot Medical and Research Translation (MART) building is located on the University's academic Medical Center campus and houses eight floors devoted to imaging, neurosciences, and cancer research. Bana Electric provided an electrical fit out for the MART Tower and well as the 10 story Bed Tower, with 150 state-of-the-art inpatient bed accommodations. BEC installed electrical systems which include new UPS and emergency systems powered by two 1500KW generators, and Simplex Fire Alarm systems throughout.
Bana Electric Corp., along with Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Department of Transportation, transformed the Long Island Expressway parking area at Exits 51-52 into a beautiful Long Island Welcome Center. The center offers drivers a safe and modern facility to rest while promoting local businesses. The Welcome Center provides ample parking for up to 135 passenger vehicles, state-of-the-art lighting, restrooms, 24/7 video monitoring and on-site law enforcement.
